For all those that didn’t jet off to Coachella the other weekend, myself included (and yes I have major FOMO) I have compiled all my favourite looks and outfits from Coachella this year. Plus, I have even given you tips where you too can ‘shop the look’ on a much more modest budget!
I have always wanted to go to Coachella, and it’s still on the bucket list. But with work and lack of funds I haven’t been able to go yet. Every year I scroll through all the incredible Instagram pictures and posts about Coachella and mentally plan my outfits for when I get the chance to go.
As you can imagine, boho florals, fringing, cowboy boots, military jackets and copious amounts of face gems and glitter all make an appearance but there are also some incredible, more alternative looks from Coachella this year.
So here they are, my fave outfits – have a scroll and get inspired for when you hit the festival fields this summer…
I loved the different prints and tartan vibes of these outfits. With a western belt and a black fedora, you can’t really go wrong.
This seems to be the hat of choice for people at Coachella this year. Simple, versitle and hides that festival hair a couple of days in. Of course from my fave, ASOS.com but also in the sale!
This dress! LOVE! It reminds me a little of Wendy from Peter Pan, but I love a floaty dress and a bit of lace detailing… J’adore. Plus with that Californian sun beating down, no burnt sholders!
This dress, on Asos.com by Native Rose is incredible, but slightly expensive. It has a very boho, summer festival vibe and would look fab with cowboy boots, flowery headband and face glitter.
‘All Black Everythang’ – I am a sucker for an all-black outfit, you don’t need to go mad with colour and sparkles all the time! I loved the floaty long black cardi in this outfit, really flattering and with those fluted sleeves… Incred!
This long-line cardi from New Look on Asos.com is perfect for a festival. It not only looks great, but means you don’t get sunburnt shoulders during the day or feel chilly during the evening. You could even grab a belt and cinch the cardigan in at the waist to extenuate your waist and give you a beautiful hourglass figure.
Guilty, this is technically not at Coachella, it was taken just after (another of her outfits at the festival does feature), but this is something I would wear. Polka dot skater skirt, with a basic white t-shirt and a denim jacket… whats not to like.
This cute Emory Park skirt from Asos.com is perfect. It’s floaty and flattering and so versatile for any festival.
Lyss’s striped jumpsuit in this is amazing. Belted at the waist with cuff sleeves show off her incredible figure and envy-making tan. Put it with with a pair of blue espadrilles it’s the perfect all-day, comfy outfit.
This jumpsuit from Emory Park on Asos.com is beaut! I loved the relaxed feel and pinstripe detail. Great for a festival and when the evening comes wont leave you feeling chilly.
This is one of my favourite bloggers, but her outfit! OMG!! This stunning chain-mail, Revolve dress in silver is to die for. Erika has accessorised it perfectly with a western style belt and a black large brimmed hat.
Ok, so it’s not the dress from Revolve, but this one is MUCH cheaper! Again from ASOS.com but for £32 what is not to like!
Another blogger I love, but I adored her net skirt and red boots in this outfit. Admittedly, I wouldn’t wear heels to a festival but I suppose no risk of mud here! I also really liked her stylish little bum bag (it’s not really a bum bag, more like a waist purse), super practical as it keeps all your valuables on you and leaves your hands free to hold a drink, grab a friend and dance!
These sassy little numbers are a fraction of the price of the Vagabond ones seen in the Instagram picture but look super comfortable and just scream summer festival!
I loved the simplicity of this outfit. Little, red smock dress with converse and an over-the-shoulder bag, staple outfit for the weekend plus it’s light and comfortable.. big tick from me.
This gingham smock dress from Asos.com reminds me a little of those aprons you used to use in art class at primary school, but I LOVE IT. With its little cap sleeves and floaty style it’s great in the heat and also means no matter how much you eat, drink and dance you don’t have to worry about it.
Oh GiGi! What is great about her outfit is that it doesn’t conform to the boho, floral, fringing, glitter vibes of Coachella. She has done her own thing. Mom jeans, bandeau top and trainers – I loved this casual, tom-boy vibe.
Mom jeans are great for those that can pull them off. On me, I don’t feel the shape really looks nice, but I love how they look on Gigi. Super relaxed, comfortable and really on trend – perfect for a festival. Plus these are from Boohoo, super cheap and will go with so much even after a festival.
I said I had another outfit of hers at Coachella… This amazing maxi dress is from Boohoo!! I loved the paisley print and cowboy style of this outfit. The boots, western hat, belt and the little brown saddle bag just tie the whole look togeher! LOVE!
This is the actual dress and only £20 from Boohoo. The purple, paisley print and super plunge neckline are really flattering. Accessorise it with a fringed over-shoulder bag, gladiator sandals and cowbow hat to top off this boho look.
My sort of festival look… ripped, high waisted denim shorts with a white bandeau and light jacket! This could be worn at any festival (as long as its hot and sunny)
I don’t think I have ever gone to a festival without my Levi’s 501 shorts. They are my absolute MUST HAVE and staple for a festival. I always go with the highwaisted style and pair them with a crop top or graphic T. Levi’s might be more expensive but they really do last, keep their shape and colour really well. Asos.com, Urban Outfitters and other online retailers sell Levi’s – I can’t recommend them enough.
It wasn’t just the girls who rocked what they wore at Coachella. I loved this guys denim jacket, with the galaxy style back I wasn’t sure whether this is something he bought or personalised himself, but I loved it!
Personalised denim jackets are a great way to express your own style. Grab a cheap denim jacket and get creative with a sewing machine or even a glue gun. Or find one like this one by Liquor N Poker at Asos.com which has funky embroidery or personalisation.
I really like the print on this dress as well as the super plunge neckline and massive front split it looks amazing! Another appearance for a western style belt and boots.. perhaps a Coachella staple?
This little Asos number seems to be the staple accessory at Coachella this year. Plus for only £16 is it a winnder!
I loved the colour and floral print of this dress. Also, adding the corset style belt to bring it in at the waist shows off her figure and adds a grunge vibe to this otherwise girly outfit.
Another winner from ASOS.com. Cinch it in at the waist with a corset belt and add accessories.
I thought this outfit just shouted FESTIVAL. The sequined winged cape is amazing! I would wear it with high waisted jeans or military style high waisted shorts and chunky boots.
Here are the wings.. still for sale at Asos.com. Super cheap and would top off any festival look this summer!
The blue wrap top was my favourite piece of this outfit. Super comfortable but flattering as it cinches in at the smallest part of her waist. Coupled with a coker and western belt – it’s a winner.
This ASOS blue, wrap blouse is so pretty and even after a festival can be worn with high-waisted jeans or a pencil midi skirt.
I loved her cardi! With the huge open knitt and fringed hem detail it looks amazing and perfect for a festival. Belted in the middle also makes it really flattering and makes the most of her incredible figure.
I know this is still slightly expensive, but I love this brand- Free People! From Asos.com and on sale. I love the raw hems and sleeves on this cardi, plus it looks super warm for a chilly festival evening
Would it even be a list if these two weren’t on it? My fave duo Tash and Devin, I adored Tash’s coral dress. Fluted sleeves and that amazing coral, sunset-orange colour is just amazing. She wears it with a pair of cowboy boots and chunky rings.
Although this doesn’t have the beautiful sleeves that Tash’s dress does, the colour and huge side split are both incredibly flattering and keep the dress comfortable and cool during a festival. Plus this dress on Asos.com is on sale and is super cheap.
Girl Gang Goals! I loved the crochet, bohemian, beachy vibes of these outfits. Although the tan lines will be terrible, my favourite outfit was the women 2nd in from the right. Paired with a brown belt and beaut gladiator sandals it is an absolute winner!
This cute little dress (little being quite the right way to describe it) is from Brave Soul on Asos.com and is super super cheap. I would wear it with a white bandeau and white shorts underneath and pair it with gladiator sandals or brown boots.
Like any festival, anything goes when it comes to clothes. Wear what you love, create your own style, or take inspiration from my post to create your own fab Coachella-style outfits.
